Program Objective
The student will be trained in drafting techniques use the pencil and drafting board and gain a thorough understanding of the use of AutoCAD to complete drawings. The successful graduate will be trained in Architectural Drafting (both residential and commercial) and Civil Drafting. Topics specific to these classifications of drafting include reading blueprints, field drawing, sizing and designing HVAC, plumbing and electrical plans, and have a complete understanding of the International Building Codes for Residential and Commercial Construction in Pennsylvania.
